Yes. Under UAE federal and emirate-level regulations, electronic waste
is treated as hazardous waste. This means it cannot be handled through
general waste channels.
2. Do I need a Waste Transfer Note for every collection?
In Dubai, yes. Regulated waste movements require a Waste Transfer Note
to be filed digitally through Montaji within 24 hours of collection.

Data-bearing devices undergo certified data destruction before any
recycling or refurbishment takes place. You also receive documentation
confirming the process.
5. How long do I need to retain records of e-waste disposal?
UAE regulations require hazardous waste records to be retained for a
minimum of five years. Our documentation is structured to support this
requirement directly.
